In its enchanted countryside cultivated by the Etruscans since the ninth century BC, a wine is produced that is very similar to Il Bisonte bags: it improves over time, changing its color from ruby to garnet and softening in taste.
Surrounded by the evocative symmetry of vine rows, between castles and farms, parish churches and stone walls, Rufina is the homeland of Chianti Rufina DOCG (the first Chianti to be sold overseas at the end of the nineteenth century) and Pomino DOC, produced according to ancient traditions by illustrious Florentine families. Visiting the “Vine and Wine Museum”, housed in a the beautiful Medici villa, and following the “Wine Road” it is the best way to discover the art of wine-making and to understand how it has shaped the landscape and made it unique.
Il Bisonte has been producing bags in Rufina’s artisan workshops for over forty years.
