Americans in Florence: Sargent and the American Impressionists (2012)
Florence has always been a favorite destination for international travelers. Between the nineteenth and twentieth centuries, the city became one of the preferred destinations for American artists and writers, attracted by the charm and variety of its landscapes, along with the wealth of history and art.
For the exhibition ‘Americans in Florence: Sargent and the American Impressionists’ (March – July 2012), Il Bisonte has created a portfolio inspired by those used by the artists when they went to draw and paint outdoors to capturie the lights, colors and atmosphere of a unique land.
The shoulder strap is made of wood covered in cobalt blue paper with a greased cowhide finish in a chestnut color.
