On the occasion of Pitti 105, Il Bisonte presents its new products for Fall/Winter 2024/2025 as well as a new issue of its Magazine, dedicated entirely to its iconic vegetable-tanned leather.
A manufacturing tradition made up of people
With its FW24/25 Collection, Il Bisonte continues to pay homage to Florence, where in 1970 the brand was born. After celebrating the beauty of its gardens, the uniqueness of its streets, the liveliness of its theaters and the wonders of its lesser-known museums, this time the names for the new lines were chosen directly from Florentine onomastics. The reason being not only to emphasize the tight bond that binds the company to the territory where it operates, but also and especially to celebrate the men and women who – thanks to the talent and skills handed down from generation to generation – have built over centuries a unique manufacturing tradition which is embodied in each new bag.
A design imagined around leather
For more than five decades the undisputed star of Il Bisonte’s collections, vegetable-tanned leather, has been a true icon of the brand’s style and its commitment to the environmental and commercial sustainability of its products.
One of the most notable innovations to the new Women’s Collection is the Olimpia line, which incorporates an “infinity” brass ring that has been a star feature in the best-selling Consuelo and Loop bags. The delicately structured form of the bucket and clutch bags is defined by the sheer quality of the smooth, handcrafted leather and suede lining. The line also includes a belt.
Inspired exactly by those unique qualities of the leather which define both its minimalist design and timeless attitude, the new Nina line includes a belt, a glasses case, a coin purse, a wallet in two sizes, and two magnificent tote bags, whose shape is defined by soft darts pleating the undulating leather such that it resembles sculpted drapery in constant evolution. The entire line is available in classic, vintage and metallic leather.
Also new for the upcoming season are a women’s backpack from the Bellini line (launched in the SS24 collection) featuring adjustable shoulder straps with knots and a drawstring closure, surrounded by soft swirls of vegetable-tanned leather; and three new models from the Oliveta women’s line: two hobo bags in different sizes, wearable either on the shoulder or cross-body, and characterized by harmonious proportions and a formfitting silhouette, and a belt bag, which has become a prize accessory in recent years thanks to its versatility.
New colors
Gianduia, Black Cherry and Vanilla: the FW 24/25 Collection color palette recalls the natural intensity of chocolate, the changing nuances of red fruit, and the delicate sensuality of vanilla flowers. The brand’s classic colors – first and foremost natural – still play a vital role.
What’s new with the Home Line
The Home line – which also brings the brand’s unmistakable style into the home and office – is enriched with new models, made from the highest quality vegetable-tanned leather, suede-lined and handcrafted with extraordinary attention to every detail.
Among the new additions are a small, exquisite magazine holder in leather with a structured form, a reinforced bottom, and two holes that serve as handles; a beautiful travel checkers set, with leather checkers and playing card holders featuring personalized cards and scoring pad; a round watch and jewelry holder, a picture frame, a stainless steel leather-covered flask, and a glass and leather candle holder containing a vanilla-scented candle.
The entire Home line is available in four colors: natural, caramel, arabica and black.
Il Bisonte Mag #3: unique leather
On the occasion of Pitti 105, Il Bisonte presents a new issue of its magazine. The vegetable-tanned leather which has always been used to make the brand’s bags and accessories is the star of this edition.
From article to article the magazine guides the reader in discovering where and how this unique leather is created, how much experience and tradition there is behind every single piece, as well as the secret magic that allows it to age beautifully and change day after day along with the wearer.
