Florence, 12 June 2019 – Il Bisonte announces 100% of the company’s ownership has been transferred from Palamon Capital Partners, a European private equity firm specializing in growth buyout, to Look Holdings Inc., listed on the Tokyo Stock Exchange.

Look, has distributed and licensed the Florentine brand’s products in Japan since the 1990s and manages 42 Il Bisonte monobrand stores. Palamon had acquired Il Bisonte in the summer of 2015 from its founder, Wanny Di Filippo, who in 1970 started the company from a small workshop in the heart of Florence.

Over the past four years, Il Bisonte has re-launched its iconic brand and expanded its international presence in the United States, Europe and the Middle East, strengthening its influence in Asia as well, thanks to the Hong Kong-based retail company established when the first company-owned stores opened.

Sofia Ciucchi, CEO of Il Bisonte, commented: “We are very satisfied with this opportunity and thank Palamon for the impetus it has provided in recent years in developing, growing and transforming Il Bisonte into a true global and multi-channel brand. We have invested a lot in the product and the organization and now, with Look’s support, we are ready to further strengthen the business internationally. This beautiful and special brand with its 30Km production chain, has come to be known and appreciated throughout the world”.
