  4. IL BISONTE PRESENTS THE FW22…

With the Fall Winter 2022 collection, Il Bisonte looks toward the future by focusing exclusively on sustainable everyday luxury. Its symbolic universe is offered up through versatile, essential products free from superfluous details, unfettered by seasonal trends and made exclusively in Tuscany entirely from sustainable raw materials of the highest quality.

“Our company is represented by the image of an animal – explains CEO, Luigi Ceccon – which is an icon of freedom and resilience, and is a model of a circular economy based on the symbiosis between man and nature”.

A tribute to Tuscany and the 30-Km supply chain

Inspired by history and nature, this collection is novel but still faithful to tradition, as the names chosen for the lines reveal: those dedicated to women come from the most beautiful Medici villas whereas those for men evoke Tuscany’s most iconic castles.

“We pay homage to the land where we were born and raised – adds Ceccon – because it represents, like no other, the harmonious fusion of landscape and architecture, mixing the natural world with the well-made. The essential lines and quasi geometric design of these new bags explicitly call to mind the purity and elegance of Tuscan architecture and the amazingly harmonious blending with the landscape.”

All products are 100% Made in Tuscany and reflect the experience and talent of the brand’s master artisans throughout its 30-Km supply chain.

Unique style

The new Men’s Collection features three lines: the Brolio – which includes a belt bag, three different sized messenger bags and a large briefcase that can either be worn crossbody or carried – is characterized by soft curves and a side buckle, which not only serves to adjust the shoulder strap, but is also an eye-catching detail in itself; the backpacks, briefcases and flat crossbody in the Meleto line feature squared shapes that give these items a particularly young and bold look; the Trebbio line features backpacks, briefcases and tote bags with distinct embossed details and prominent front seams.

In the new Women’s Collection, the linearity of the hobo bags in the Belcanto line is emphasized by an adjustable shoulder strap with side buckle that combines practicality with elegance; the two different sized handbags in the Ferdinanda line are rounded and sporty, and are characterized by embossed, front-stitched details; the Mezzomonte crossbody bags are distinguished by the quality workmanship of their leather-lined details, which offer a decidedly contemporary twist to a model from the archive.

Manufactured responsibly

Sustainable since its founding, Il Bisonte maintains its focus on environmental, social and commercial sustainability by continuing to select vegetable tanned cowhide as its material of choice, in both the classic and – for a more vintage look – the aged variety.
This fine leather has been the star of the show since the Seventies. It is derived solely and exclusively from animals reared for food consumption, and the hides of which – if not used – would create serious waste disposal problems.

An ancient process is used to tan the leather using tannin powder extracted from chestnut, mimosa and quebracho bark. Throughout the manufacturing process, neither chromium nor other substances that are harmful to humans or the environment are used. Thanks to the chemical and biological characteristics of cowhide, it can be disposed of easily at the end of its life.

Exceptional attention to detail

Our FW22 products come with sophisticated metal accessories, finished in silver for the men’s collection and a warm gold for the women’s.

The bags are lined in cotton cloth which is produced in the historic textile district of Prato.
A testament to our careful attention to detail is the fine suede on the underside of the flaps which adds texture to the softness of the aged cowhide leather in the men’s collection.

A fabulous color palette

For men, the classic palette of black, natural and sepia hues welcomes Coffee, an intense brown that is offered up as a new neutral tone to perfectly complete any outfit. The great classics in the women’s collection are joined by new seasonal colors which light up winter with bright and unexpected shades like Denim Blue, Emerald, Chocolate, Honey, Pink Chestnut, Lemon and Milk White.
