SOLARIA

Four bags from the new spring-summer collection call to mind Il Bisonte’s connection to Florentine gardens. We continue with Solaria, which «has its roots in the Sun.».

There’s a villa near Florence with a park called (the Villa) Solaria. The name, it seems, is a spell that conjures up (one) nice weather and (two) a good mood. We here at the Journal like parks and the sun (and names), and we can prove it.

PARKS AND SUN, SUN AND PARKS

Journal installment #13. Nine centuries ago, the poet wrote about that other enchanted name that «is rooted in the Sun.» A green, lush, divine force of nature. If you know of any soon-to-be-created parks , we propose the name Viriditas.
Carrying on, scattered here and there in the Journal are more parks. Again, in Florence, there’s the one where Dante’s Star is planted. Trees form the design of the name which always ends the Divine Comedy. A gift from Il Bisonte (the Star) to Florence (and to Dante).

SS23 BAGS PAY TRIBUTE TO THE GREEN IN FLORENCE

Solaria is one of the new lines in the 2023 Summer Season collection. We at the Journal love to make ecological and poetic connections. Il Bisonte, on the other hand, likes to handcraft them. New sustainable bags. New Florentine stories.
