Bill Viola. Electronic Renaissance (2017)
For the impressive retrospective ‘Bill Viola. Electronic Renaissance’ (March – July 2017), Il Bisonte celebrates one of the founding fathers of Video Art with a creation that recalls its styles and icons.
The purple cowhide shoulder bag, with two large colored tassels on either side, has iridescent panels on the front and back. Fluid images are printed on each panel, appearing to be almost in motion, evoking the artist’s video performances.
The educational tools inside, guide visitors as they discover the installations of Viola and the works of the great masters who inspired his artistic style.
