Il Bisonte, the brand renowned for its quality Florentine craftsmanship, announces a significant reorganization at the top management level aimed at consolidating its prestigious position in the international accessories scene.

Masaaki Saito, who is the board member of Look Holdings Inc, the Japanese company that owns 100 percent of Il Bisonte, remains as the Chairman, while, effective immediately, Hideo Shiomoto is taking over as Managing Director, succeeding Luigi Ceccon, who has served as the company’s CEO since 2019.

Mr. Shiomoto, formerly serving as a member of Look Holdings Inc, will carry out his duties from the Florence headquarters in close contact with both the production plant and style office based in nearby Pontassieve.

Il Bisonte would like to express its gratitude to Luigi Ceccon for his commitment during his three-year tenure. During this time, Mr. Ceccon guided the company toward greater digitization and vigorously supported social and environmental sustainability projects, both locally in Tuscany, as well as internationally.

Looking to the future with optimism, Il Bisonte will approach 2024 with a focus on expanding its three commercial channels – retail, e-commerce, and wholesale – in the United States and Japan.

About Il Bisonte SpA

Il Bisonte is a high-quality Florentine brand that has been crafting – exclusively in Tuscany – bags and accessories in leather and fabric for the past five decades; these products express a style that is immune to market-driven conventions and fleeting seasonal trends. Founded in 1970 by Wanny di Filippo, it is currently owned by Look Holdings Inc., the brand’s historic Japanese distributor, and is listed on the Tokyo stock exchange. The brand can be found on four continents and in the most important international cities (Tokyo, Florence, Rome, Milan, Paris, New York, Taipei and Seoul), and is distributed in over 30 countries. There are 56 single-brand boutiques throughout the world, 50 of which are in Japan. The ilbisonte.com website offering e-commerce is active in 54 countries.
