  4. IL BISONTE AND TODD SNYDER:…
On the occasion of Pitti 108, Il Bisonte and Todd Snyder are introducing a capsule collection of men’s bags and accessories, the result of a collaboration between the historic Florentine brand known for its artisanal excellence and the iconic New York menswear label. The collection will make its debut at the Circolo Canottieri in Florence, where an exclusive Summer Party is set to take place on June 18th, in the shade of the Ponte Vecchio.
“In this collection – explains Hideo Shiomoto, COO of Il Bisonte – Florence and New York come together in the name of authenticity, a shared philosophy of fashion, a timeless style unfettered by seasonal trends, and a deep, mutual love for the tradition of craftsmanship which is a core value for both Il Bisonte and Todd Snyder.”
“I first discovered Il Bisonte when I moved to New York more than 30 years ago. As someone who is passionate about Italian craftsmanship, – explain Todd Snyder – I’ve always found an elegant simplicity and artistry in every Il Bisonte piece. Much like the very best of Italian luxury, these pieces continue to get more beautiful over time – a true testament to the extraordinary group of artisans whose work is seen in every detail. I’m thrilled to collaborate with such and iconic brand that represents all the wonderful qualities of what I’ve always admired about Italian design”
The new collection includes a tote bag, a weekend bag, and a beauty case: their design is essential yet unmistakable, and faithfully echoes some of Il Bisonte’s most iconic styles, reinterpreted by Todd Snyder through new materials, textures, and color variations.
The bags and accessories are crafted using cotton and linen canvas with an elegant herringbone pattern or a highly durable, drip-proof fabric, both perfectly paired with vintage vegetable-tanned leather trims and details (Il Bisonte’s signature material). The collection also features sophisticated ruthenium-finished metal hardware. As for the color palette, everything revolves around the interplay of beige and black, hallmark shades of the Todd Snyder brand.
The co-branded collection will be available starting this fall exclusively in Todd Snyder’s 22 US monobrand stores.
