Give Back

  4. Give Back

Every act of generosity involves a birth, according to the deeper meaning of these two words. In fact, both generous and generate are derived from the Latin genus, which means ‘origin’. So in keeping with the grammatical root, we like to think that an altruistic gesture is a gift, and that it is as fertile as a sprout.

But the connection between the words generous and generate is not just about their shared history: it’s about the very things they express. In this capacity Il Bisonte’s bond with Florence tightens. We are artisans who experience Sustainability as a generous thought, innervated with ties that run beyond fashion’s limits. If we invest in a sustainable present, it is because we want a future that literally ‘gives life’ to a new profession, a new product, a new tree.
