Milano Design Week 2018 Il Bisonte Meets Federico Peri

  4. Milano Design Week 2018 Il…

On the occasion of the upcoming Salone del Mobile, Il Bisonte showcases its never-ending passion for the design world by presenting a new collection of furnishing objects designed by Federico Peri.

The young designer (born in 1983) has captured the spirit of the brand: authenticity, adventure, functionality, transformation and adaptation are the characteristics that most impressed him and those which he wanted to transfer into his design concept. His designs are made entirely or partially with vegetable-tanned cowhide leather, a signature material of Il Bisonte, and with striped fabrics, which have also been a characteristic element of the brand since the Seventies. Each design is also convertible and multi-functional like Caramella, Maremmana, and Vagabonda, the iconic bags of the brand.  The mini-collection designed by Federico Peri for Il Bisonte includes four designs:

  • an exceptional bison-riding armchair, with armrests and a backrest that open out like a fan, becoming useful pockets;
  • a coffee table which can be closed and opened as needed;
  • a ribbed rug created with overlapping strips of leather, lightly padded and sewn together;
  • an incredible parachute with a vintage cowhide exterior and the typical multi-colored striped cotton fabric on the interior, to be used as a chandelier or to take flight with the imagination.

The project “Il Bisonte meets Federico Peri” will be presented from April 17-22 at the Il Bisonte boutique on Via Santo Spirito 14 in Milan.
