On the occasion of the 97th edition of Pitti Immagine Uomo, Il Bisonte celebrates its history with a special multimedia installation created by Felice Limosani in the Palazzo Corsini showroom.
Visitors will be welcomed with no less than 12 monitors featuring those materials that have made the brand famous throughout the world, with a spotlight on striped canvases, a hallmark of the very first collections.
An incredible selection of over 3000 pieces from Il Bisonte’s historic archive preserved in Pontassieve – the fundamental source of inspiration for some of the bags in the men’s F/W 2020-21 collection – will be on display throughout the Pitti show in the Palazzo Corsini showroom in Florence.
Minimal design, functionality and urban spirit characterize the men’s collection which includes briefcases, backpacks, and shopping bags that can be either worn on the shoulder or carried, and are perfect to go all day.
The textured cowhide of these bags is a “grittier” interpretation of the textured cowhide from the 80s, and some of the men’s pieces feature the iconic ponticello closure in an updated version.
It’s a demonstration of the absolute relevance and inexhaustible vitality of Wanny Di Filippo’s intuitions which have continued to mature since the seventies. Wanny Di Filippo, founder and brand ambassador, has made Il Bisonte the emblem of unconventional and timeless style.
As 2020 marks Il Bisonte’s 50th anniversary, several initiatives will be carried out this year to celebrate this important milestone.
